Wyvern College GCSE Results 2024
Wyvern college is celebrating an excellent set of exam results. The proportion of students attaining 5 good grades (grades 9-4) in 5 subjects including English and Maths is 70%, significantly above the national average. The average Wyvern student has achieved 8 GCSE qualifications at grade 5 – a strong pass.
The proportion achieving good passes (grades 9-4), strong passes (grades 9-5) and top passes (grades 9-7) are significantly above national averages in all five of the Ebacc subjects of English, Maths, Science, Foreign Languages and Humanities
We are very happy to see a significant increase in the proportion of grades that are grades 9-7 – the top grades. A quarter of our students attained top grades in English and in Maths; overall 29% of all grades across all subjects were grades 9-7.
Equally, we are incredibly please to see some of the best results in the college’s history for those who joined us with attainment that was below age related expectations and for those with special needs.
These results reflect the hard work and commitment of Wyvern students and staff. We are celebrating their successes with them and are extremely proud of what they have achieved. They have been a brilliant year group whose attendance and behaviour have been outstanding – two key reasons why they have done so well. We wish them all the best in the next step of their education and hope they stay in touch with us. We would like to thank parents whose support for their children and the college has been considerable.
Finally, these results are a testament to the hard work and talent of Wyvern staff who go over and above in their commitment to give students the very best education, whether they are working hard to achieve top passes, strong passes, good passes or basic passes.
